Jaime has worked for more than 17 years directing micro-enterprise and rural development projects in Perú, Bolivia, México, Ecuador and the Philippines with expertise in strategy, budgets, personnel, training, project design, evaluation, and conflict management.

Lindsey obtained a Bachelors degree in FCHD Family and Community Services with a minor in Psychology from Utah State University in 2012.  She has gone on several expeditions and her duties include donations, marketing, fundraisers, and the monthly newsletter.

Scott works as an Auditor for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He has taken numerous humanitarian expeditions to Peru and Ecuador. He graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in Accounting.

Van Evans, PhD, LCSW
Chairman, Executive Director

Van is the founder of Generations Humanitarian. He served as executive director from 2008 – 2014. In 2012 he worked in Global Philanthropy at the Council on Foundations in Washington, D.C. and currently Adjunct Faculty at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.

His interests and research include Latin American and global philanthropy, voluntarism, religious philanthropy, social entrepreneurship, and civil society.  Past research includes best-practice interventions for street children, and child trafficking for slavery, sexual exploitation, and organs. He has worked in the sector for 17 years in Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Honduras. He has published several peer-reviewed articles, and his first book on Latin American philanthropy, Generosidad en México, was published in late 2013 where he co-authored several chapters. He is a contributor to the Council on Foundations blog.

He obtained a M.S.W. degree from the University of Utah, a M.S. degree in Nonprofit/NGO Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. in Philanthropy at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He has taught philanthropy at the University of Utah, Westminster College, and the Utah Nonprofits Association.

He is fluent in Spanish, and is conversant in Quechua and Portuguese.
