In 2025, we added 14 new homes in the Department of Tolima, Colombia. This was due to a covenant with the governor of the state. She came to us with the proposition and they paid for all the furnishings and remodeling of the home and the food. We paid for the staff and other activities. The program has been so successful that the governor heard from the public how great the new homes are and she has asked to renew the contract until the remainder of the year.
We are also moving forward on our Yucay orphanage which will replace the Azul Wasi home.
Our greatest optimism is centered around Venezuela. Everyone on our team has been rejoicing nonstop since Pres. Trump took out Maduro. We have plans to go into Venezuela again, this time without the threat of torture, imprisonment, and death. We sadly announce that one of our little boys in the Negrita home in Venezuela died of hunger. And this because the Maduro regime shut down our project and Ana had to flee the country. They preferred to have their children starve to death rather than let us help them.
